SACRED VALLEY PERU ITINERARY
Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour
Sacred Valley is a vast valley with a lot of tourist attractions. It is posible to Visit most of them in one day but you will have a very short time on each site and you won’t enjoy them properly, that’s why we have split it into 2 options to visit it properly and we still have the option 3 to visit all of them. Any of these options start at 7:00 am at your hotel and finish at 6 – 7 pm in Cusco. See the options below and let us know which option you want:
Option A: By Pisac(Alpaca farm, Pisac ruins, Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero).
We will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 07:00 am in Cusco for your Sacred Valley 1 day tour. Then we will take a road that leads to Pisac. We will visit the 5 main sites, Awana Cancha where you see (Alpacas, Llamas, Vicuña, and Huanacos), Pisac Archeological site, Pisac Market, Ollantaytambo Archeological site and Chinchero. Halfway, we will have our lunch in Urubamba, after lunch we can visit Brewery(optional) then we go to visit the Archeological Center of Ollantaytambo. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will drive to visit the Chinchero ruins and then come back to Cusco.
Option B: By Maras( Chinchero, Moray, Salt Ponds, and Ollantaytambo).
On this option of Sacred Valley day tour from Cusco, we will pick you up at 07:00 am from your hotel too. The tour starts with a visit to the Textile Center of Chinchero, then the Colonial town of Maras. From Maras, we keep going to the nearby Inca site of Moray, a magnificent series of terrace circles set into the ground that was once used by the Incas for experimentation with crops, then the salt mines which have been in use since Pre-Inca times. Water from a subterranean stream is channeled through pools where it evaporates and leaves behind pure salt crystals. With thousands of stark white pools stretching down the valley, the views are amazing. Our final destination is Ollantaytambo ruins where we will spend an hour. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will come back to Cusco by Huarocondo town to enjoy the amazing landscapes that Iscuchaca province offers.
Option C: Sacred Valley Plus (Chinchero, Moray, Maras, Salt pond, Ollantaytambo, and Pisac ruins.

On this option of Sacred Valley full-day tour, we will pick you up from your hotel at 7 am then go from Cusco to Sacred Valley. We will drive for about 35 minutes to Chinchero. We will stop to see the Textile Center and you will get an explanation from the locals about how they make their beautiful textiles. Although the Sacred Valley is at a lower altitude than Cusco, some locations we will visit, such as Chinchero, are situated at a higher elevation, approximately 3,700 meters (12,139 feet). If you experience any discomfort, we will provide you with oxygen.

- Tourist Ticket: To visit all the Inca sites, a tourist ticket is required, which costs 70 Peruvian Soles.
- Salt ponds ticket: The salt mines are manage by local farmers, and entry requires a payment of 20 Peruvian Soles.
- Awanacancha: This alpaca farm features a variety of animals, including llamas, vicuñas, and several breeds of alpacas.
- Lunch in Urubamba: There are many restaurants with different prices. Our guide will offer options, and you can choose one based on your budget.
- Tips for the staff: Giving tips is optional, but it’s becoming more common in Peru.
Add-on for The Sacred Valley Tour
The General Tourist Ticket:
This ticket grants access to 16 tourist sites within the Cusco region, including ruins in both Cusco and the Sacred Valley. For those interested in exploring these areas comprehensively, the “General Boleto Turistico” is the ideal option. It costs 130 Soles (approximately $36 USD), with a discounted price of 70 Soles (around $20 USD) for students. The ticket is valid for 10 days.
Partial Tourist Ticket:
The Partial Tourist Ticket is valid for one or two days and provides access exclusively to Inca ruins in the Sacred Valley, including sites like Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras, and Chinchero. This option is not available for students or minors. If your focus is solely on visiting the Sacred Valley without taking the city tour, this ticket is the most suitable choice. It is priced at 70 Soles (approximately $20 USD).

Yes, you can schedule your flight for the same day as the tour. We recommend opting for the latest available flight, around 10:00 p.m. Since our tour concludes at 7:00 p.m., you will have ample time to make your flight.
Can You Pick Up From The Airport For The Sacred Valley Tour?
Yes, we will arrange to pick you up from the airport. However, please ensure that your flight arrives by 6:30 PM or earlier. There will be an additional fee of $10 in total, not per person.
Can You Drop Us In The Airport After The Sacred Valley Tour?

- Booking Peru Sacred Valley tour at the last minute is possible, but during the peak season (May through August), it is advisable to book at least a week in advance due to the potential shortage of guides. However, tickets are always available.
- Bottled water can be purchased at any stop along the Sacred Valley tour.
- Sacred Valley tours depart daily, with a minmum of two people.
- It is essential to bring cash for purchasing tourist tickets, as credit cards are not accepted on-site.
Pro Tips:
- Upon arriving in Cusco, avoid exploring the Sacred Valley immediately. It’s recommended to rest at your hotel for at least one day to acclimate to the high altitude, unless you are already accustomed to it.
- Even during the dry season, be prepared for unexpected rain, as getting wet could make your trip less comfortable.
Lost Object
Please ensure you have all your belongings when exiting our van or the restaurant. You are solely responsible for your personal items.
Group Tours
Groups include people of various ages and physical conditions. When you join a group, you agree that some members might walk faster or slower than you. Everyone will progress at their own pace.
Strike and Demonstrations.
Strikes and protests happen a lot in Peru, and they often block roads. If there is a strike during your trip, we will inform you and cancel your plans. We will either refund your money or help you reschedule for another date.
Cancellations and Refunds:
- Full Refund: If you cancel up to 24 hours before the tour starts, you will get all your money back.
- Partial Refund: If you cancel within 24 hours of the tour, but before 7 PM the day before, you will get half your money back.
- No Refund: If you cancel after 7 PM the day before the tour, you will not get any money back.
