Machu Picchu Tours 2026

Our Machu Picchu Tours In 2026

Our Machu Picchu tours range from one-day trips to multi-day adventures like the Inca Trail or Salkantay Trek. You can also include these tours as part of a longer trip around Peru. You can choose from several options, such as guided full-day tours by train or packages that include an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes and visits to the Sacred Valley before reaching Machu Picchu. Many of our programs combine Machu Picchu with nearby attractions, including the Sacred Valley, with stops at famous places like Pisac, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. Below, you will find all the options to suit every type of traveler.

Machu Picchu Tours: Day Trip, 2-Day & Sightseeing

Our Machu Picchu 1-day tour is perfect for travelers who wish to experience the wonder of Machu Picchu in just one day. We provide convenient hotel pickup and drop-off services for your comfort. You can choose from three different departure schedules, starting as early as 3:00 a.m. or later at 8:00 a.m., allowing flexibility to suit your travel plans while ensuring a seamless and unforgettable visit to this iconic Inca citadel.

This 2-day tour combines two of Peru’s most iconic destinations: the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. On the first day, you will explore the Sacred Valley, visiting its most important Inca archaeological sites. In the evening, you will spend the night in Aguas Calientes. The following morning, you will take an early bus to Machu Picchu to enjoy the majestic Inca citadel and experience its beauty before the crowds arrive.

This 2-day tour is ideal for travelers who prefer a relaxed journey to Machu Picchu. On the first day, you will travel by van through scenic viewpoints overlooking the Chicon and Verónica glaciers of the Vilcanota Range, visit the traditional village of Maras, and explore the lively town of Ollantaytambo while admiring the Sacred Valley. On the second day, you will visit Machu Picchu early in the morning to witness the sunrise.

Best Guided Machu Picchu Hiking Tours

The Inca Trail 4 Days is considered one of the top five hikes in the world. This legendary trek covers approximately 40 kilometers of ancient Inca-paved pathways leading to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu. Along the journey, you will explore impressive archaeological sites, lush cloud forests, and breathtaking mountain scenery. On the final day, you will arrive at Machu Picchu through the iconic Sun Gate, just as the Incas did centuries ago.

The Salkantay Trek is the second most popular trek in the Cusco region. What makes this route unique is the incredible diversity of landscapes you’ll experience each day—from snow-capped mountains to lush tropical forests. The journey offers a perfect combination of adventure and natural beauty. On the final day, you will visit the majestic Machu Picchu early in the morning, allowing you to enjoy the site with fewer visitors.

The Lares Trek is an excellent alternative route to Machu Picchu, offering a unique cultural and natural experience. Along the journey, you will encounter traditional Andean communities, breathtaking glaciers, herds of llamas and alpacas, and stunning turquoise lagoons. This trek combines scenic beauty with authentic local encounters. On the final day, you will visit the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

My name is Abel, and I am the co-founder of AB Expeditions, a local travel company based in Cusco. I was born in Chinchero, in the community of Chusso. My journey began working as a farmer, then later as a porter on the Inca Trail. After that, I studied to become a tour guide, learned English, and spent 20 years guiding different treks around the Cusco region.

Over the years, I began writing blogs about the treks I’ve done and sharing useful tips about traveling in Cusco. Eventually, I founded AB Expeditions to offer authentic travel experiences with a strong commitment to supporting local communities and creating unforgettable adventures for our guests.
