Inca Trail Reservations:  How To Book Your Inca Trail Permits Step by step

There is no official government website for Inca Trail reservations. Permits can only be obtained through authorized travel companies like AB Expeditions, which offers a streamlined process to secure your permit efficiently and in compliance with regulations. In this guide, we will provide a comprehensive, step-by-step process on how to book your Inca Trail permits through AB Expeditions, an authorized travel company to operate the Inca Trail.

Search for our website on Google, and the first step is to click on the red “Book Now” button. Then our booking platform will pop up. 

Step 02: Select the departure date, and the amount of Participants, and choose your currency

Start by selecting the departure date for your Inca Trail hike. Next, indicate the number of adults and students in your group. Following this, choose your preferred currency. Once all these details are provided, click the “continue” button to proceed.

Step 03: Select the extras

The next phase involves incorporating optional extras. It is advisable to reserve the Vistadome and Huayna Picchu in advance, as these tend to sell out quickly. On the other hand, sleeping bags and hiking sticks can be booked at our office one day before your departure.

Step 04: Fill out  all the personal information

Please enter all your personal information, such as your full name, passport number, nationality, gender, age, date of birth, and any dietary restrictions. Ensure your full name matches exactly with the name on your passport, as you will use this information for hiking the Inca Trail. Once we purchase the permits, the name cannot be changed, only the passport number can be updated. It’s important to double-check your passport number because if there’s an error, you won’t be allowed to hike the Inca Trail. After entering all your details, click Continue.

Step 04: Payment

You have two payment options: either through your bank account or via a credit/debit card. If you opt to pay using your bank account.  When selecting your currency, you’ll also have the option to use your local bank for the payment. If you prefer not to pay via your bank, choose the “Card” option to proceed with a credit or debit card payment. Afterward, click “Continue” to finalize your booking.

Step 05: Pay with your Credit Card

Our booking form accepts all types of credit and debit cards and is secure. A transaction fee of 2.9% will be applied when making a payment with your card. After entering your card details, simply click “Continue” to proceed with your booking.

Step 06: Booking confirmation

After completing your payment, you will receive an automatic confirmation. Within approximately 24 hours, we will send a manual confirmation to your email, at which point your 4-day Inca Trail trip will be fully confirmed, and you will be all set for the incredible Inca Trail adventure.
